Now that the holidays are a few days away, we would love to take a look at more holiday events taking place in Mansfield, TX. Be sure to find time to check out these events with your friends, family, and out of town visitors. Community Events

  1. Movies on Main: After the holidays, enjoy one last celebration with a free screening of Christmas with the Kranks at the Farr Best Theater on 109 North Main Street on December 27th from 7pm until 9pm. Admission is free, and concessions are available for purchase. Seating is first come, first serve!
  2. Bark Ranger: You can bring your own dog or participate with a shelter dog in our Bark Ranger obstacle course! Participants get a certificate, dog tag, collapsible food bowl, and puppy treats. Children must attend with a registered adult and dogs must have received a current rabies certificate. The event takes place at the Elmer W. Oliver Nature Park on 1650 Matlock Road on December 23rd from 10am until 11:15am. Cost is $12 per person.
  3. Winter Holiday Craft: Kids and people of all ages can create their own fun winter holiday crafts on Monday, December 23rd from 1pm until 2pm at the Elmer W. Oliver Nature Park on 1650 Matlock Road. The cost is $9 per person. Each participant gets to make three unique ornaments! A great way to create fun memories that will be cherished forever.
  4. Christmas Tree Drop-Off: Safely drop off your Christmas tree from December 26th through January 16th at the Home Depot on 1725 US 287 Frontage Road from 8am until 5pm. This is for live trees, not artificial or flocked, as we cannot safely dispose of those. The trees will be used to create mulch that is given away in the Spring! A great way to recycle your tree instead of simply tossing them into the garbage.
