With the kids home for summer break, summer is a great time find fun events in Mansfield, TX. In today’s blog, we’re going to look at different events taking place in July. Upcoming Community Events

  1. Rockin’ 4th of July: Get ready to enjoy to Rockin’ 4th of July on Wednesday, July 3rd from 7pm until 10pm. The event takes place at Big League Dreams on 500 Heritage Parkway. There will be games, live music, a free bounce house, and an epic fireworks show. Doors open at 6:30pm and the fireworks begin at around 9:30pm. Parking is located at the Vernon Newsome Stadium, with charter shuttles available.
  2. Intro to Fishing: Your children can learn to fish with an Intro to Fishing course, for kids between the ages of 3 and 16. The event takes place on July 5th from 7pm until 8pm. The classes will be located at the Oliver North Park and is hosted by the Mansfield Activities Center. Early bird admission is $7 and regular admission is $9. Any anglers over the age of 16 must have a valid fishing license. Preregistration is required.
  3. Kayaking 101: Kids ages 7 and up can learn to kayak with Kayaking 101 on Saturday, July 6th from 8am until 10am. Participants will learn in a duel seated kayak on the creeks alongside Joe Pool Lake. A naturalist will help you and your family spot wildlife and plants, and there will instructions on safety and proper technique.
  4. Tennis Camp: On Monday, July 8th from 8am until 11am children between the ages of 5 and 10 can enjoy a tennis camp! There will be daily matches, fun activities, and individual attention from expert instructors. Classes take place at Chandler Park on 1530 North Walnut Creek Drive. Early bird registration is $75, regular is $80. The event is hosted by the Mansfield Activities Center.
