The weather in North Texas is in that perfect Spring swing between chilly winter and excessively hot summer, which makes it the perfect time to get outside with the family. There are plenty of activities in the DFW metroplex, both outdoors and in, for the whole family to enjoy. Fun Things To Do This Weekend

  1. This Thursday through Sunday, April 19–22nd, is the Main Street Fort Worth Arts Festival. The event spans more than 27 city blocks downtown through Fort Worth’s main street with artists, live music, and festival foods. Near the county courthouse, there will be an outdoor arts-and-crafts studio for fun with sand art, henna tattoos and tons more. The festival is free to attend though food and some activities require coupons.
  2. EarthX Fest is this Friday through Sunday, Aprril 20–22 from 10am–6pm daily at Fair Park in Dallas.
    This expo celebrates Earth Day with hundreds of green exhibitors and kid-friendly attractions. Kids can learn to climb trees with a rope in the outdoor adventure zone or go scuba diving (for kids as young as 10 years old). Admission is free with registration, and $5 without registration. Some activities may have a fee to participate.
  3. The Casa Mañana theater invites your whole family to be their guest to a Beauty and the Beast tea party. Before seeing the musical on Saturday, get extra time with characters off stage during Tea with Belle, a tea party where the musical characters serve as wait staff. During the tea time, you can get to meet the princess in person. The tickets are $55 for tea, and performance tickets start from $21.
  4. Six Flags Hurricane Harbor is home to the 29th annual Cardboard Boat Regatta hosted by River Legacy on Saturday, April 21st starting at 9 a.m.
