We have had some cold days in Mansfield, Texas so far this year, but it is finally starting to feel like December. All of the holiday events in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex really make it feel like winter. Whether you are already celebrating Hanukkah or you are gearing up for Christmas, there are lots of fun things to do this season. In the last few weeks of December, you can also make time to check in with your dentist. Be sure to use the last of your 2018 dental insurance benefits and start planning for your 2019 oral healthcare.
Holiday Events
- The Mansfield Public Library is hosting Letters to Santa on December 13th. Gather up the family to come to the library to make handmade holiday cards. Kids can write letters to Santa. There will be special treats and even a special guest, Santa Claus. Stick around to talk to him or take pictures. You’ll need to have your own camera. The event is free and there is no need for advanced registration.
- Mansfield’s Snowman Run 5K is not until January, but having an early heads up gives you time to prepare. The run is geared towards families, but everyone can participate. Put together your snowman costume and get ready to run!
- The Fort Worth Zoo is hosting a Winter Zoo Camp for the kids. If your kids are at home for the holidays, let them learn and have fun at the zoo. There are special winter activities throughout the duration of camp. The camp is for kids in grades 1st through 6th grade.
