Community Activities
- This Saturday, Barks and Rec is back! Walk the trails of Elmer W. Oliver Nature Park with a dog from Mansfield’s Animal Care and Control by your side! You get a refreshing walk outside and the dog gets to get out of the shelter for a little bit. Children are welcome, but the dogs must be lead by an adult. There is a registration fee and advanced sign-up is required.
- This Saturday afternoon, join the community Chess Club. All ages and levels of experience are welcome, so come to learn the game or to find a new challenging partner. The event is free and no advanced registration is required. Just show up to the Mansfield Public Library by 1:30 p.m..
- Nature at Night is this Saturday evening starting at 5:30 p.m. and going until 8. Explore Elmer W. Oliver Nature Park at night time with some fun group activities, like making s’mores by the fire and dissecting owl pellets. There will be games and crafts like glow-in-the-dark geology. There will be a night hike for identifying nocturnal nature sounds. All ages are welcome, but advanced registration is required.
