It may be over 100 degrees in Mansfield, Texas this week, but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t still some fun to be outdoors. The city has lots of fun and exciting things to do for the whole family. Some of the exciting events take place outside while many take place inside (in the refreshing air conditioning). After you enjoy some kayaking or summer reading, be sure to visit us at Mansfield Dental Associates for your checkup and a dental cleaning. Both of which are essential to your oral health.
End of Summer Events
- This Saturday, July 28th, from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. (early enough to beat the heat), enjoy some kayaking on Joe Pool Lake. Participants will paddle while looking for wildlife and plants. A naturalist will join each journey to instruct on proper technique and to provide guidance. Children must be at least 7 years old and children under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration is required and the event will begin at Oliver Nature Park.
- On Wednesday, July 25th, the Mansfield Public Library is hosting Pipdilly’s comedy show. The show features original music, magic by the Musical Triciolini, and audience participation. No registration is required; just show up at 10:30 a.m. and be ready to be amazed.
- On Friday, July 27th at 10:30 a.m., the Mansfield Public Library is hosting a party at the Katherine Rose Memorial Park. The party will be a celebration of the end of the library’s Summer Reading Program. The party is free and no registration is required. All children must be accompanied by an adult. The party will include games, a petting zoo, and bounce houses for the children to enjoy.
