Independence Day is right around the corner and Mansfield, Texas always goes big for it. The 4th of July is the essential summer holiday filled with celebration, cookouts, fireworks, and fun. Do you have a yearly tradition with your family of where you go to celebrate? Do you go to the same place every year to watch fireworks? Mansfield is hosting it’s annual 4th of July celebration for its 11th year: the Rockin’ 4th of July Celebration! Children can enjoy the bounce houses, slides and carnival-style games. Older kids can try their skills on the rock climbing wall, home run derby, tennis games or smash car. This year there will also be old-fashioned lawn games, like giant checkers to tug of war, that the whole family can participate in! The event is part of Mansfield Parks & Recreation campaign to unplug to enjoy a screen-free summer and is designed to be fun for all ages. The fireworks show will last approximately 22 minutes. Announcements will be made 10 minutes before the start of the show so guests can get to their viewing spots before all of the lights go out.

Parking and shuttle provided at service at Mansfield ISD’s Vernon Newsom Stadium from 6:30pm – 11:00pm. (Hwy 360 at E. Broad St.) continuously through the night.

Tuesday, July 3rd, 7:00pm – 10:00pm; Fireworks at 9:30pm
Cost:
FREE admission. Food and drinks will not be free as they will be provided by outside vendors.
