When a patient loses a tooth or a few teeth, we can usually restore their smile with dental bridges or implants. Some patients, though, may lose more teeth than these treatments can restore. When this is the case, we may recommend full or partial dentures to help replace the missing teeth. It’s important to have a full set of teeth to help you chew properly, speak easily, prevent further tooth loss, and maintain your oral health. Plus, it gives you confidence in your smile.

What are Full and Partial Dentures?

Dentures help replace teeth on either the upper or lower (or both) dental ridges. They are lifelike and sit on a gum-colored and comfortable base that securely rests on your dental ridges. Full dentures are often recommended for patients who are missing all their teeth. For patients who have some teeth remaining, a partial denture may be appropriate. Before fitting you for dentures, a consultation will be scheduled so we can determine which kind may be needed. Then we can work with you on a personalized plan that aligns with your individualized needs.
